How does a puzzle subscription work?

Subscription boxes are popular items for people who enjoy getting pleasant surprises each month. When you choose a puzzle subscription, you get a box containing puzzles on a regular delivery schedule of your choosing.
There are a variety of options for subscriptions, and twisty puzzles, in particular, offer a unique challenge for puzzlers looking to exercise their problem-solving skills.

Subscription Options

Puzzlcrate offers three subscription options. You can choose to have a box of puzzles delivered each month with the 12-month subscription. Or, you can choose a six-month or a monthly option.
The 12-month subscription has the lowest monthly rate. If you commit to six months, the price increases slightly. It increases even more if you choose the month-to-month option.

How It Works

Puzzlcrate includes twisty puzzles, not jigsaw puzzles. Each box includes new puzzles with various skill levels, some are for the general population while others are challenging and require several thoughtful attempts.
Once you decide what subscription plan works for you, you can expect your Puzzlcrate to arrive after the 20th of the month. We promise that you will love every puzzle, but if you don’t, contact us and we will replace any item in the box.
Each month, we send the same puzzles to our subscribers so everyone gets the same items–we strive to be fair to all subscribers. Our puzzle of the month club boxes include at least one twisty puzzle with varying difficulty levels as well as occasional stickers and other puzzle goodies.
Your puzzle subscription includes high-quality, unique puzzles each month. If you notice that there are any missing pieces in your puzzle selection, contact us so we can make everything right.

Paying for Your Subscription

When you commit to one of our puzzle subscriptions, you don’t have to pay additional shipping if you live in the United States. Customers in Canada and other countries do have to pay additional shipping charges between $15 and $20 per box.
After you choose your subscription and checkout, we charge your debit or credit card. Regardless of if you choose the 12-month, 6-month, or monthly subscription, we will usually charge your card between the 3rd and 7th of the month. We send confirmation emails when we’ve charged your card for your recurring subscription payment.

Why Choose a Puzzle Subscription Box?

If you love puzzles, subscription boxes like Puzzlcrate offer a fun opportunity to learn about the latest twisty puzzles. Our customers love unboxing their monthly shipments. Each unboxing moment offers an element of surprise that does not exist at a brick-and-mortar store.
Shopping for puzzles has become challenging, especially with so many toy stores permanently closing around the world. Our affordable puzzle subscription lets you receive a new puzzle each month without having to leave your home. Because we are puzzle experts, we know where to find the perfect puzzle for each monthly puzzle subscription.

Give the Best Puzzle Subscription Boxes as Gifts

Our subscription services make great gifts for friends and loved ones. If you have difficulty finding the perfect gift, a monthly puzzle subscription gets the job done. The recipient will be pleasantly surprised when the first box arrives, and after completing the first puzzle, they will appreciate the next box and the fun puzzles inside of it.
Each time a monthly box arrives, your friend or loved one will remember you and think about the great gift you gave them. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Combination Puzzles Over Jigsaw Puzzles

At Puzzlcrate, we decided to include combination puzzles over jigsaw puzzles in our monthly subscription boxes. Combination or twisty puzzles help the human brain develop different skills. Combination puzzles help adults work through various problem-solving processes. They work through trial and error to develop a systematic approach to operating a challenging task.
Puzzlers usually do their 1000-piece puzzles or 500-piece puzzles once, then they put them back in the box or glue the pieces together for posterity. With a combination puzzle, puzzlers can do them repeatedly, re-scrambling them so they can work through the problem again.
Repeatedly working on the combination puzzle helps people develop innovative solutions and efficient problem-solving skills they can take into the world.
Of course, jigsaw puzzles have several benefits, like enhancing memory and producing dopamine. But combination puzzles give people more opportunities to work on their memory and use their entire brain to understand how the small parts work together to form the whole puzzle.
Combination puzzles and jigsaw puzzles are often the first steps for puzzlers. Eventually, they turn to escape rooms where they find their puzzle practice helps them solve these challenging situations that often include riddles, more combination puzzles, and word games.
Another benefit of choosing a puzzle subscription box with combination puzzles is that the little puzzles take very little space. With a jigsaw puzzle subscription, you have to find places to put the boxes. Our little combination puzzles look cool when displayed and they occupy very little storage space.
You can take combination puzzles with you anywhere, as most fit in backpacks and purses. Some are small enough to fit in your pocket. If you have a long commute or you have to wait for an appointment, you can kill time and work your mind with a Puzzlcrate twisty puzzle.

Before You Commit

Every puzzle subscription system works differently. Before you commit to a subscription, take time to read the FAQs, which cover information about payment, plan renewal, and what to expect in each box.

It is important to know that, with Puzzlcrate, you can cancel your subscription at any time. However, keep in mind that you commit to the length of your Puzzlcrate plan. If you cancel your subscription early, you will still be billed for and receive any remaining crates left on your subscription plan.

For example: If you signed up for the 6 month subscription but canceled it after 3 months, you will still be billed for and receive the remaining 3 crates. After that, you will no longer be billed or receive the crates.

Puzzle subscription services offer a rewarding monthly surprise for people who appreciate problem-solving experiences. Customers enjoy opening the boxes and finding their latest treasure from their favorite puzzle companies.

If you love puzzles and enjoy a regular surprise, sign up for Puzzlcrates. It’s as easy as choosing a subscription plan and entering your details. It’s time your puzzle collection got a fresh, monthly upgrade!
